They are only complying within Turkey right? The consequence of not complying with local laws you disagree with is being shut out of many countries and not being a global brand.


Maybe standing up for universal values would strengthen a global brand that's built on communication.

YouTube and Twitter refused to take down material in Turkey, and they were both banned for two months.

If anything, their principles enhanced their brands in Turkey and around the world.
