It's very strange, searching for "H1-B" with scope "Past Week" turns up this post and several others, but NOT the larger discussion you linked. Even though the term "H1-B" is in the title!

Not really.. the larger discussion is under H-1B.. algolia colapses into H1B so matches a bunch of similar articles (like H1-B) but it (reasonably) doesn't assume H-1B=H1-B

I searched for "visa" and the linked discussion didn't come up. Algolia seems crap if the search is that broken
