My car allows you to customise the dashboard (or at least to select from like 5 themes). And I certainly prefer the numerical values, especially for speed, since you are constantly comparing that value with another numerical value (i.e. the speed limit).

Now of course if the speed limit was indicated as an angle on a circle, perhaps that would be different, but thankfully no one as that insane...
