This really sucks, Westfield is one of the brighter spots downtown. We've worked out of the coworking space on the top floor for a few years and I absolutely loved it. It seems like it's falling apart now : ( The downstairs food court seems empty expect for an occasional insane person dragging their belongings.

Voting has consequences. SF voters elected liberal DA, mayor and other officials who are soft on crime.

Closing, but why? "...citing the changing dynamics of the downtown area." https://youtu.be/j-gYqmmiQOI

and what are those changing dynamics?

Whole Foods, Nordstroms, and now perhaps Walgreens ...

Looks like folks want Walgreens out as well, according to one former long time loss prevention specialist... https://youtu.be/SBXQQJRugpw

Are ghettos popular tourist destinations?

Maybe SF needs to truly illiberate with Universal Basic Theft for the "community"

Businesses, new or old just need to factor that in as the cost of commerce in SF.
