I’m a huge fan of #IndieWeb, the social web working group, and their various specifications: https://indieweb.org/Social_Web_Working_Group

It’s not a new problem, but it definitely feels like an endless battle of specifications and implementations.

Most recently I’ve settled on using https://micro.blog/ but I wouldn’t be surprised if I change my mind again within the year as new competitors crop up.
