There is a lot of corruption. At this point that is not a partisan reality.
Managing who performs the task of representing us ordinary people matters because of what happens when corruption combines with non corruption.
Could be everyone ends up corrupt.
Or, the corruption is reduced, pushed aside or down, more out of the way, impotent.
Could also restructure in ways that allow both to remain operable.
It won't be just scholars asking. Many of us ordinary people will be, or are asking right now. Indie political affiliation is the largest voting bloc we have now. Has been on the rise for years.
