I’ve got a friend interested into IT and working on getting a CompTIA A+ certificate. My route into tech didn’t include any certification (outside of my BS), so I know embarrassingly little about it… does anyone know what the best resource I can recommend to her for studying would be?
I question the value of such certificates. Employers want to see actual experience and/or a CS degree. A profusion of worthless certifications devalued all of them. Some, like AWS and Oracle, have some value but again only in addition to real experience.
