Most recent government services operate via the web or APIs anyhow. Plus suing for alternatives to Google/Microsoft duopoly should be front and center for fringe firms in the space.

Probably too late, honestly, but still worth trying.

Honestly, FirefoxOS received a lot of flak for not "focusing on their browser", but if it had succeeded it would have been a huge win for digital freedom and privacy.
