I love the mentality. Minimizing latency is important for user experience, and is evidently not a project requirement for most modern software.

That said, the page is a content-light advertisement, and competing with Jetbrains on code-introspection and refactoring will be tough.

Yeah. Considering this comes from the team behind the world's most pre-eminent example of such software, I'm a bit skeptical.


One thing that has me interested is that they seem to be working with the person/people behind tree-sitter. Tree-sitter is pretty amazing tech and vastly outperforms traditional text parsing. There are a couple of impressive YT videos demonstrating it.


The Tree-sitter team are mostly, or possibly all, also GitHub/Microsoft employees.
