No, it’s a special 180% car tax, plus 25% VAT on top - 1.8*1.25 = 2.25.

Yes, you have to pay VAT on the tax, too. It’s bananas.

They did reduce it slightly a few years ago, I think it’s more like 180% in total now.

No. Tax is 225% including vat.

VAT in Denmark is "only" 25%
