no offence but this kind of makes you part of the problem

I could have a principle and live in a falling apart money pit in a declining neighborhood or move to a brand spanking new home in a neighborhood on the way up.

Part of the problem is how hard it is to sell a home in the first place. I'm not interested now, but for a while I was looking at needing to move states, and that was going to involve selling my home and buying (or renting) in the new location. And all the math was saying that anything other than getting really lucky with a sale just before moving was going to cost me a LOT of extra money and be a drain and a hassle on top of all of the stresses involved with moving to a completely new state.

I really hate the idea of selling to these "we'll buy your home fast" shops, but I have to be honest that had I needed to make that move, it would have been a very real possibility.

I just want to be able to buy a mp3 for a dollar is it so hard.

The EU is a bigger market than the US when it comes to smartphones. So Apple would block this about as much as they would block moving over to USB-C.

I did this for 3 years for two homeless women. Had to kick them out because I did not want meth in my home.

that's what I was thinking. have tried to help people before, but when they have some mental disabilities is difficult for them to keep their instincts in check, then we have to care of small children in the same space, thus best I can do is help while keeping the distance :(

In 2007 I was an Italian citizen studying at a university in Texas.

For a final project, we built a cool autopilot, and demoed it on several vehicles, including a precision dropper airplane, and a sailboat.

The airplane happened to be slightly better than what the USAF admitted to having at the time.

There were 5 of us working on that project, including 1 US citizen.

The citizen got a NASA internship out of it. The rest of us were put on a list and I for one had a very tough time getting a green card later on even with a NIW.

I shudder to think what this maladministration is doing to foreign STEM students now!

Jesus. That's horrible. I'm glad you finally prevailed. Was this a doctoral program?

This is very near my hometown (Nebbiuno; I am from Verbania).

Lots of very old people here. The world's oldest lady used to be from Verbania, she died at 117.

Northern Italy is less loud than southern Italy but it has a quiet beauty.

There's dozens of us from that neck of the woods! (I'm 30 km away from Lago Maggiore)

If you ever pass through Liguria, I can even treat you to a coffee. (But nothing more, eh! )

As the stereotype goes, you would probably forget your wallet at home :-)

Belin ehh l’ho lasciato a casaaa

China will buy Siberia. No shots fired.

I would not be surprised.

Or simply take it over. No shots fired.

I had this problem on my Oculus Rift box (remember those? it still runs beat saber just fine) and the solution was to solder some beefy capacitors on the end of unused power cables coming out of the power supply. If I recall correctly it was the 12V line that did it, which I didn't expect.

The buzz isn't completely gone but now I can't hear it unless I'm paying attention to it, which if I am playing beat saber, I'm not.

Dr. Walter Gibbs: Won't that be grand? Computers and the programs will start thinking and the people will stop.

Look at GPS and then "self-driving" cars.

With GPS we have seen people confidently drive past road closed signs and around barriers off bridges.

With self-driving technology, we have seen them defeat safe guards so they can sit in the back while the car accelerates up to 70 in a subdivision.
