Intelligence is not completely due to genetics as you are suggesting and has to do more with socio-economic conditions. Read “guns germs and steel” for why human development through the ages has a lot do with just being at the right place at the right time.

This goes against all of the scientific literature we have. Intelligence is determined by genetics. It can be artificially lowered via poor socio-economic conditions, but it mostly cannot be lifted by higher socio economic conditions. In laymans terms, a traumatic life can make a child who was otherwise going to be smart not so smart, but a good life cannot make a child who was going to be dumb intelligent. Socioeconomic conditions can lower the intelligence determined by genetics, they cannot improve intelligence determined by genetics.
I think this is a bit of a mischaracterization of both the science and what I was saying. Genetic intelligence is not a min/maxed limit that we all have to work hard to reach. It is something that is fairly static and innate. It can be disrupted by trauma/nutrition but obviously for the vast majority of people that is absolutely not the case. We are born with, and live up to, our genetic intelligence. Very few of us in the first world were undernourished or subjected to extreme trauma at childhood.
I disagree, such an approach completely desensitizes the human aspect of work and treats the people working as commodities that are expendable.
Engineering is hard, teams might need to go through multiple iterations/generations to get the desired results. A better investment would be to develop the right engineering culture rather than Team A vs Team B duking it out.
It only is that way because we make that way. There's no law in the Universe dictating that people are spendable, it's part of a system, a myth we created and live on.
Don't get too cocky against someone that has a more humane view of what's valuable to be human. Get a grip that reality has very many shades of grey.
Also being on TSMC5 on top of significant micro architecture improvements ; ~630 instruction deep ROB, ability to queue ~150 outstanding load instruction and ~100 outstanding stores and huge TLBs which reduces swapping the anandtech article does a great job going into explaining this.
All that helps, but if you look at the die you are going to see a massive 12MB L2 with a bunch of routing to all the L1s. That’s where the majority of the cost is going vs any other chip.
You or I might have to privilege to choose our next jobs but for some people especially those in the services industry don’t have that and end up having to work doordash/instacart. Don’t attack the messenger when it’s probably easier for most people to stop using doordash.
