This is what bothered me about the chrome app store after using it to "install" a few web apps. I agree that finding new web applications might get easier, but other than the fact that we now see 'chrome-optimized' web apps, how is this different from a simple bookmarking solution?

For now it's same as bookmarking a website but with a bigger icon. Probably in future chrome app store will let people buy native apps for their devices that run on Chrome OS.

There are applications for sale. Buying one takes you through Google Checkout.

I badly wanted something like this and almost got started building one. Glad someone did it, and looks awesome. Congrats!

HN new links. :)

This is awesome. Great to just stream it onto a television with no cable. Do you have any sources other than Youtube?

Edit: Just saw your about page -- "Yes, we are working on how we can seamlessly play videos from other sources." Nice!

Love it! MS Office has done quite a remarkable job the last few iterations. Wish other Microsoft products had good ol' T.J. doing the ads for them.

Well, now I keep bouncing between Facebook and Google regarding who's "right".

This might be incredibly useful in weeding out ill-designed websites from the search results. I can see myself using it to quickly determine the legitimacy of the site before clicking through. Plus, it's not distracting like those snap previews on Wordpress.

There's a cooler interface for tracking bedbugs in NYC at http://samizdat.cc/bdbgs/

For New York, I'd say the meetup community is pretty good at meeting people face-to-face.
