Nice post... I especially liked the touch of posting a link to their hiring page right after describing their mandatory 25 paid vacation day policy.

This article is 5 hours old, has 314 points is one rank behind an article that's six hours hold with 23 points right now. HN users certainly love to flag anything that's critical of Uber.

Well it's very popular among users. Removing it from the store immediately and/or permanently seems likely to get some backlash from the user base.

The same could be said about a lot of things that are harmful to users.

This story is plummeting suspiciously fast from the HN front page...

It was only on the front page because the mods put it there. Buzzfeed is a penalized site and this story is getting flagged. Normally it would be on page 10 by now. The mods can't hold it up forever, though, so now it's falling.

This story has been on the front page for 24 hours.

>Cash is incidental, but it is a very good metric of how hard something is. If you are not making very much money, you aren't doing things that are very hard.

This is the just world fallacy. How much people earn isn't analogous to how hard they work, how important their work is or how challenging. It's a product of supply and demand.
