this is bad. I really hope this doesn’t effect the rate of ev adoption(excluding gm’s contributions). karma’s a bitch!

Based on my limited knowledge of the severity of the anode defect, there is a possible use for grid storage, keeping the power draw requirements low, they should be fine. But More so interested in what is actually going to happen with all these packs... they definitely will show up on open market...

a friend of mine works for a airline logistics company. Since the begging of the pandemic they have been frantically stripping the interiors of passenger jets...Turning them into cargo carriers.

ac charging “infrastructure” is merely a plug + a fancy breaker switch. It’s cheap and simple. ac is abundant, so adding a plug is easy. Dc on the other hand requires lots of hardware.

This. Cheap infrastructure spurs adoption more than the added cost to the EV. It also adds tremendous flexibility to the EV itself allowing it to charge off existing infrastructure not intended for EVs.

with the market increasing its ability meet the credit requirements, will we see the requirements increase? Or evolve deeper into the supply chain?

Um what? Confusing the lightning network with a tether trading platform?

No, read Jack Mallers from the LN Strike's direct statement that they're using USDT: https://jimmymow.medium.com/announcing-strike-global-2392b90...

I'm looking at it right now and am struggling to understand how you interpreted his statement as Strike running on Tether. I see exactly one mention of Tether in the article:

>Strike then takes the bitcoins and automatically converts them back into USDT (synthetic digital dollar known as Tether) using its real-time automated risk management and trading infrastructure.

So the user has an *option* of Tether if the prefer, how does that equate in your mind to "a tether scam"?

Followed immediately by:

>What if an El Salvador user wants local currency in exchange for their Strike USDT balance? Are they stuck with synthetic digital dollars? Nope.

>Remember, Strike remains interoperable with the Bitcoin and Lightning networks. We don’t need to install Strike network tellers and ATMs around the world, we are built on top of an open network, the work has already been done for us.

So are you just choosing to ignore statements that do not conform to your narrative or did you skip this portion? As it directly contradicts your previous statement of Strike not running on Bitcoin / Lightning.

Is it tho? Battery degradation is a big problem. if your supper charging and doing 0-60 launches often your battery is going to go to shit.

People should be able to control the ratio of battery degradation to charging time.

Anyone or their business who depended on the old charging speed for mission-critical functions is screwed.

But there are more-clear warranty rules about battery degradation/lifetime. They optimized for those.

I’m with you on this. The ev convention scene provides just that!

Funny, I’m building just that! https://www.instagram.com/bratindustries/

That's what I love about HN. Make anything up, and someone's done it and posted pics. It's like being able to wish things into existence just by posting a forum comment.

Next: Cold fusion jet pack!

That is awesome.

NAC! don’t drink much any more but when I do, pre drink I take some nac.
